**Snow**

We haven't had very much snow since 2012 during Snowmageddon.   There, we got 13 inches of snow, followed by an ice storm which broke trees and branches and finally the punch to the face...a wind storm.  It was bad.  I didn't sleep much during the four miserable days of no electricity or water and the sheer paranoia that the trees would go through the house.

The weather channel and our local news kept on saying certain areas may get some snow.  I never gave it much merit because we never got any and if we did it was always gone the same day.

The conditions were good enough for some now.  It started snowing just before noon.  I heard places down south, Portland, Salem and Vancouver were all getting snow.  I texted mom to see if they had left yet.  They were celebrating their anniversary and decided to go to Lincoln City, Oregon for the weekend and were on their way home.  She said it was very icy and they would get home when they got home.

I continued with chores and such.  It took them all day to get home...almost 7 hours.

I took a few pictures of the snow throughout the day and the ducks and chickens had a party in the yard.  Lots of foot prints everywhere!

It didn't stay and turned into rain the next day.  Commuting to work was interesting in the morning though.  It took a while with the long string of cars on Rainier Road.  I did get to work on time surprisingly.
