The Olympic Club, Shankz Mini Golf and Dead Ending Haunted House

Today was Halloween.  Yesterday we had a horrible rain/wind front come in and it just about rained and hurricaned all day long to the point where events, haunted houses and trick or treating were canceled.  Most importantly our haunted house in Puyallup we were suppose to be in was canceled.  The wind and the rain ruined the structures rendering them unfixable with the amount of time we had to do it in before the event started.  It was disheartening, especially for the people who put a lot of effort, time and money into it.  Luckily, most of the plastic was ruined and that is a cheap supply to purchase again.

Ben had to be at work for half the day on shift at the fire station and I was at home helping mom do chores and watching some Pac-12 football.  I was disappointed our game was one of the night games instead of the afternoon game.  We had a good chance of beating #8 Stanford if we play to our potential.  Throughout the day Ben and I talked about what we wanted to do for the evening and I really didn't feel like doing anything but staying home and watching scary movies with him.  He wanted to go somewhere and mentioned Shanks, a glow in the dark mini golf place in Chehalis.  He said he heard they added Halloween decorations.  That might be fun.  I said sure, let's do it.  He was going to meet me at my house and take the Escape back down for the festivities.  He said he would be there close to 5:30.

He got here and I had to get him motivated again because he got so comfortable he almost fell asleep.  I put my Cougar gear on, grabbed him, got his clown outfit from his car, got into the Escape and made our way over to my grandparent's house for some trick or treating.  I do this every year regardless of my age.  They don't get any trick or treaters at their house but they do enjoy seeing their grandkids show up and visit them.  This year I brought Ben with me.  Previous years he was not able to due to work.

We got to Grammie and Grandpa's house, walked in, got our picture taken and she gave us some candy.  We stayed for about a half hour or so visiting.  We told them what we were going to do next and they said that sounded fun.  We said our goodbyes and told them to enjoy the rest of their Halloween.

We headed towards Chehalis and decided to eat some food before we played haunted mini golf.  We really couldn't decide on anything so by default we chose the Olympic Club mostly because they have good food, beer and pool!  I parked in the back and we walked up to the bar and ordered drinks.  Ben tried the Black Widow and I had the Ruby Ale.  We ordered burgers and borrowed the pool balls.  We played three games, I lost them all but made a good run, ate our burgers and watched part of the Cougar game.  We were up at this point.  We paid and returned the pool balls.

Yard Birds was only a few miles away from downtown Centralia.  We made our way south.  I've never been to Shankz but have seen it the few times we've been to the Yard Birds building over the years.  I remember coming here with my family back when it was a shopping center and not a giant swap meet with random businesses inside.  We paid for our admission into the haunted glow in the dark mini golf, got our golf balls and clubs.  Once inside, the glow and the dark theme they had was really cool.  The first half of the course was an under-the-sea theme and once we rounded the corner and headed to hole 9, the course turned haunted with skulls and bloody body parts.  It was awesome!  Even our scorecard glowed in the dark.

Halfway, Ben was ahead of me by one, 24-25.  Now we entered into the haunted part of the golf course.  They had a lot of skulls, spider webs, spiders and some wolf and ghoul creatures scattered all over the three rooms of the remaining holes.

Surprisingly, we were the only people in the putt putt area playing.  From the looks of the parking lot it looked like there should have been more people inside the building.  Later, we found out they were all there for the haunted house upstairs.  I beat Ben in the second half of the 18 holes, which gave me the edge at the end.  I beat him overall, there were four holes in one, both of us used our mulligan and we saw some cool decorations.  We returned our stuff to the front desk and Ben talked to one of the guys who set up the decorations inside the golf course.

When we left the putt putt place, we noticed this table and people standing in line to get into something.  Then a person dressed in a Yard Birds costume came by and chased Ben with a plastic bloody knife, yelling me me me me me!  Ben thought it was hilarious and posed for a picture.

We walked up and asked what was going on.  It was a haunted house called Dead Ending and they've been operating out of the upstairs of the Yard Birds building since 2012.  We decided to go up and see their haunted house and some mental notes on how they did and what kind of rooms, characters and props they had.  They had a guide go with us to relay us what to do and where to go.  It was a don't touch the actors and they will not touch you type of haunted house.  They had a 3D glow in the dark room, some creepy Nazi experimental rooms, a giant spider room and a guillotine with very convincing actors.  They even had an elevator, which made it even cooler.  We were impressed.

Ben chatted with the owners while I looked at the snake they had in the cage and then I wandered around the building for a bit while the Yard Bird followed behind me with the knife making a me me me me noise.  We left and headed back home.

Once home, we found a movie to watch, Premonition, ate popcorn and chilled for the evening.  Ben had to leave to go back to the fire station.  Happy Halloween everyone!

Halloween Pic at Work with Annykay

The imaging floor upstairs were taking pictures of people in their costumes.  I was Scooby-Doo and Annykay dressed as an angel.

They posted them on the L&I website about a week later.  I found ours and saved it.  It was pretty cool that they did stuff like this.

Seattle Sounders Game, Firefighter Night and Meeting Drew Carey

I got up around 10 knowing that I had to do a few things before Ben rolled in to head on up to Seattle for the game.  He wanted to leave at noon so I ate some food and then helped mom do a few things. I got ready to go and he finally got here almost at 1.  We made sure we had everything and we headed north.  It was raining up until we got to Seattle.  There was no rain...yet.

He took an exit I wasn't familiar with and when we stopped at the intersection, there was a lot with tiny shed like buildings scattered behind a fence line called Nickleville.  It made me thankful I don't have to or choose to live like this.  It was sad.

We got closer to the stadium and ended up driving past where we got on the train back during the Seahawk parade two years ago.  Then we drove past the coffee house where we spent the day waiting for the parade.  He tried looking for a parking spot and ended up parking in this small parking garage where they drive your cars into the hydraulic lift so you can park a car underneath it to save space.  I've never seen a parking garage like this before.  Ben wasn't too sure about it but we did it anyway.  We didn't realize it took us this long to get to Seattle and find a parking spot.  We kinda wanted to eat food and then join the rally and march at 3.  We only had time for the rally and march.

We walked to Occidental Park and there was a huge crowd!  I forgot it was the last game of the regular season.  As we walked closer to the tent, where there was a band and a microphone set up, we heard Drew Carey getting the crowd all pumped up.  We heard the tail end of it and I wandered closer to the tent hoping that we would get to see him.  Sure enough, when he exited the tent he stood behind as fans flocked to him asking him for photos and autographs.  I asked Ben, do you wanna go meet Drew Carey?  He said sure, and that it would be pretty cool.  We waited in line and several people and kids cut in line and delayed our turn.  I kinda got irritated.  It was finally our turn and he was awesome.  We shook his hand, introduced ourselves and he was happy to take a pic with us.  Some other brief conversation and then he told us to enjoy the game!  How cool was that?  He was very approachable and supported his fans who in turn supports his team.  It was just a really awesome moment.  For a brief second I remembered sitting in front of the TV watching The Drew Carey Show and Who's Line is it Anyway? and I finally got to meet him in person!  Video of Drew Carey.

We stood around waiting for the march to Century Link while Ben fiddled with the GoPro.  They started chanting and we were on our way.  It was fun chanting the songs and watching everyone get really into it.  Ben said in years past they had green and blue smoke flares which they didn't this time.  We made it to the field and everyone dissipated.  Ben wanted to go get food and drinks before we went inside.  Like I said earlier, we got to Seattle too late and didn't have enough time to prefunk.  Every place we went inside had a 20 minute or more wait because of game day.  I told him I didn't want to be late again and I was willing to eat food inside the stadium knowing that it would be more expensive.

We entered through the north end gate and Ben found a game to play.  You get two tries to kick the ball into a goal with five  holes.  You didn't win anything if you scored a goal.  It was just for fun.  I grabbed a program and we then made our way up the cement switch back all the way to the third level, where our firefighter night scarves were.  We also ended up eating food up there as well.  I had Ivar's and Ben had a pulled pork sandwich and a side of chips with a beer.  We ate the food in less than 10 minutes because Ben wanted to go down to the ECS section to see if they were really enforcing the wrist bands.  They were.

We continued to section 109 and sat with Lance because he offered his friend Shannon's spot to both of us.  We squeezed three of us into two spots.  The game began with a national anthem guitar solo, followed by breast cancer awareness and survivors.

We played Salt Lake City and we dominated the first half.  We scored 2 goals in less than 20 minutes, both by Dempsey.  It was nuts!  The stadium was packed and everyone cheered.  It rained most of the game and I got wet and cold.  Luckily we all survived with the body heat from being so smunched together.  We scored one more goal followed by a goal by Real Salt Lake.  We dropped them 3-1 which clinched us a spot in the playoffs.  The first game is Wednesday with the LA Galaxy.

We took a picture with the ECS at the south side of the stadium and then tried to go into the sports store but too many people and the parking garage was only open an hour after the game ended.  We basically had a half hour left to walk to the car.  When we got there I was happy to take off my wet jacket and get warm.  Ben went the long way to the freeway.  We got stuck in traffic off of First.  Then the traffic was stupid on I-5 because it was raining.  I swear people's brains shut off when it rains.  We got into Yelm about 8:30 and wanted some ice cream.  We stopped at Safeway and picked up some stuff and headed back to my house to hang out and talk about my birthday weekend.

Spooners Farm and Pumpkin Carving Game Night

We stayed up too late the night before but I really needed a shower before I went to bed.  I knew the next day would be busy.  Getting up, eating food, making cupcakes, helping Trish with her flood lights, getting pumpkins, Ben needing to go to the store for Halloween props for next weekend and finally getting over to Grandma's house to get my costume and heading over to our game night at Celeste's.  Sounds like a lot?  It was.  Plus the in and outs of everyday issues and traffic.

When I got up I knew I had to get some food in me and start making the cupcakes.  We had chili and corn bread the night before so all of the bowls and measuring cups were dirty.  I washed all the dishes and loaded them in the dishwasher for Trish.   I had some Apple Jacks (it's been a long time since I've had these) and gathered all of the things I would need to make these cupcakes.

Downstairs, Ben was trying to figure out the ticket situation for tomorrow's Sounders game.  He wanted to sit with the ECS (the group of crazy soccer fans who sit on the south end zone and chant, wave flags and dance) instead of our tickets up in the nose bleed section.  It was firefighter's night and we got tickets and scarves for about $25.  He found an ECS member who was selling the tickets.  He had to set up a Paypal account, which he wasn't too fond of doing, but that was the only way to pay for the tickets. He received the confirmation that money was taken out of his account but he hadn't received the email for the tickets...even the next day.  He got irritated and messaged the lady.  She thought we were trying to eff with her even though we were the ones who were getting screwed.  She apparently had no idea why the tickets weren't being sent to him.  Eventually, Ben gave up because of this woman's stupidity.  We contacted Michael and told him we couldn't get the extra tickets.

He finally got dressed and ate some food.  Meanwhile, I was making the cupcakes and waiting for them to bake.  Trish got him to go outside and help her install the new flood lights.  I finally found the Coug game on TV...and they started turning the lights off to find out which ones belonged to the outdoor lights.  All of the lights and the TV went off in the living room and I let out an EEEEEEE!  Trish and Ben laughed their heads off downstairs.  I finished my cupcakes and got them frosted and put away for transport.  I then went downstairs to help them install the lights.

We got all the lights installed and all of our stuff packed up.  Now we had to wait for Amy to get ready.  We all planned on going down to Orting to get pumpkins.  We each had to take separate vehicles because we were all going home differently after the farm.  We all settled on Spooners and made our way down the hill on the back side of Bonney Lake.  The traffic was awful at the intersection.  I think I waited at the light four times before I got to cross the highway and find a parking spot at the farm.  And Ben went to another pumpkin farm and we couldn't seem to figure out where he was when we were trying to give him directions.  Everyone got frustrated and Ben finally got to where we all were.  We grabbed the wheel barrow and wandered to find which pumpkin we wanted to bring home.  All of them were enormous!  Every pumpkin suffered from steroids!

We all guessed how much our pumpkins weighed all together.  I said 120 lbs and when we got the final weigh in I was a pound off.  I couldn't believe I was that close!  I paid for half and Trish paid for half.  We took them to the cars and we all headed in different directions.  Trish and Amy went home, I headed to grandma's house as fast as I could and Ben had to got to some Halloween stores and would meet me at Celeste's house when he was done.

I got to grandma's house, grabbed my Halloween bin and filled up my tire since the indicator kept telling me one was low.  I went home really quickly for the cupcake tree and to use the restroom.  I hoped I remembered everything as I drove towards the lake.  I took the cupcakes in first and then my costume and the rest of it.  I set up the cupcakes and then changed into my costume.  Ben arrived shortly after and changed into his costume.  We snacked until the main course was finished.  Kathy made a pumpkin stew, Lindsay and Justin made meatballs, Lance made deviled eggs, there was a dip and chips, apples and caramel and the cupcakes I made.  Everything was tasty.  We ate and then carved pumpkins and then played a game.

We left just after midnight.  I told Ben goodnight and we left.  I got home, unloaded everything from the car, got ready for bed and he texted me that he got home safe and sound.  It was a busy day but we all had fun.

Maris Farms Haunted Woods/Corn Maze

I've never been to Maris Farms but I've heard about it often from an assortment of people.  Ben talked about it when I first met him.  He even worked there while he lived in Bonney Lake.  He said he was a part of the clown posse that scared people.  I was curious to see what this haunted woods/corn maze was all about.

On Saturday I got up around 10 and mom and dad decided to fix the fridge.  It has been leaking for more than a few months and it was just time to figure it out I guess.  We took all of the food out, cleaned it and dad took the panels and screws out to see what exactly was going on.  Turns out the drain hole in the freezer was clogged and then the defrosted water would leak through the refrigerator and make puddles on the kitchen floor.  It is fixed now.  I waited for Ben to arrive.  We didn't leave until about 2.  We listened to the Coug game on the radio.  We beat Oregon State during our homecoming.  On the way to Walt and Wendy's house, we stopped by Party City to see if they had a straight jacket.  We got the last one for the win!

We got to Walt and Wendy's house and they had a slew of neighborhood kids helping put the framework up against the house near the entrance.  Inside, Wendy and Rosa were making enchiladas for everyone helping out.  There were at least six casserole dishes filled with food.  The boys were outside building the wall frames and we went out to the front and put up the fences around the small grave yard.  By the time we were done the enchiladas were done cooking.  I helped Wendy and Rosa set the table with the plate, plastic forks, napkins and the fruit and veggies.

Everyone came in and devoured the food.  It was delicious.  We chatted for a good hour our so and some of the kids had to go home while the rest of us got some of the walls up and zip-tied.  We got all we could done since the rain started coming down heavier.  We all relaxed on the couch, talked about various things and drank some hot chocolate.

We headed over to Ben's mom's to visit and to wind down for the evening.  We watched the Duck and Husky game and got to meet Brad's son, Christian.  He was very quiet and shy and spent most of the time staring into his phone.  The Huskies lost as we were watching a few episodes of Star Trek.  We had ice cream sandwiches and then decided it was time for bed.

The next day we slept in way to late and ended up not going over to Walt and Wendy's.  It was raining and we haven't watched a game with Trish and Amy since last season when we opened with the Packers.  Ben and I played Rummy while we watched the Seahawks blow another 4th quarter lead.  Ugh!  I hope our coaching staff figures it out soon.  It's painful to watch.

Afterwards we decided to meet Walt, Wendy, Chris and Rosa at Maris Farms.  If we would have known the pumpkin picking stopped at 6 p.m. we would have went earlier.  Lame.  We bought our tickets and then hung out in the car until I had an idea of grabbing a cache or two while we waited for 7 to roll around.

White on White (GC2GJGG) was a park and grab.  We looked for the only white thing in the area and Ben found it right away.  It was getting dark as we made the find.  We took it back over to the car and signed it because we brought a pen that didn't work.  He went and put it back while I sat in the car.  We decided to go get another one but we found out it was along a trail next to a canal.  We thought we should save this one for when it's not raining or dark out.

We drove back and they pulled in as soon as we did.  We walked towards the gate and met them right away.  We looked at the "electric" chair while some skeletons played their guitars to Queen.

I used the bathroom and was startled by a giant scary clown on stilts.  I had no idea he was hiding behind the structure.  We got into line as soon as we could because it grew every second that passed.  While we waited in line, Ben mentioned the GoPro, saying he left it in the car.  Why did you leave it in the car?  He went and grabbed it as fast as he could...and the line started moving.  I didn't get very good reception in this area but I tried to text him to hurry.

He got there before we made it into the barn.  There, a short woman with old lady make-up talked to us for a while.  The line moved steadily.  We gave the guy our tickets and made our way through the haunted woods/corn maze.

They did a really good job.  I've never been through a haunted woods or corn maze before.  Lots of noises, actors dressed scary, screaming, an old bus, glow in the dark paint, clowns, blood, chain saws and my favorite, a vortex room.  It made you actually feel like you were swirling around upside down the entire time.  Wendy stepped wrong and twisted her ankle a little bit so we had to slow down on part of the trail.  We got to the end and sat down for a bit and chatted.  It was a fun group outing.

Ben and I drove back to my house and dropped me off.  We both needed to get ready for work the next day.  It was the third haunted house/woods/corn maze since I've met Ben.  We seem to try new places every October.  I wonder where we will go next year?

Oktoberfest!

Ben had mentioned a few weeks back that there was a local Oktober Fest event we could go to. I had never been to an Oktober Fest so I was pretty excited I had an opportunity to go and it worked out with our schedules.

I got off work a little early, went to the bank (I just got my first state paycheck) and headed home.  We both made it to my house around the same time.  I grabbed everything that we might need, including the steins (Ben bought these from his previous years in Leavenworth), he bought our tickets online, said our good byes and we were off to the Puyallup Fairgrounds.  We took his car and for some reason everyone on Hwy 507 after McKenna wanted to drive under the speed limit.  It drove me nuts everytime!

We stopped at Spirit Halloween in Spanaway for a bit.  We checked out all the costumes, house decorations and some of the make-up kits and funny hats.  I found a really awesome bear mask and Ben and I had to goof around with them.  It was almost dinner time and we were hungry.  Gotta go feed the hungry bears!  Haha!

He bought a few things for our roles in the upcoming haunted house at Walt and Wendy's house on Halloween.  We still gotta find some costumes for the asylum theme we have going.  We got in the car and headed the back way to the Puyallup Fairgrounds.  We parked in the lot to the east near the cow statue and grabbed everything we needed and walked to the expo building.

Our ID's were checked and we were given a wrist band.  We went inside and it was insane!  I used the bathroom then we stood in line for food.  I had the bratwurst plate and Ben had this pork steak burger thing.  I was so hungry I inhaled my food.

We sat at a table with a guy who was also a volunteer fire fighter but with the Eatonville department.  Ben would find the guy who is a firefighter, lol.  We ate our food and chatted with him for a while.  Then we stood in line for beer!

Each beer ticket was worth $6.  Most of the steins required 1 ticket to fill it up.  We paid $36 for 6 tickets and we definitely got our money's worth of beer.  There were six choices:

1.  Trumer Pilsner
2.  Warsteiner Oktoberfest
3.  Hofbrau Oktoberfest
4.  Haker Pschorr Weisse
5.  Snoqualmie Harvest Moon Fest Bier
6.  Warsteiner Dunkel

I filled my stein up twice with #4 and #2.  Ben filled his stein up with #2, #3 and #5.  We both liked the #2 the best.

We waited along the bleachers to play a round of corn hole.  We waited about 45 minutes until one opened up.  I don't recall throwing them that far before.  We did pretty bad for not having played this in a while but we did score 2 points!

We went into the souvenir store and looked at some of the stuff they were selling.  Then we waited in some lines to try our skill at beer pong.  The last time we played beer pong was in Chelan back in May with Ben's mom.  I sat at the table for a while as Ben kept our place in line.  I just had to get off my feet for a bit.  Meanwhile he talked to some Coug alumni and I talked to some really really drunk people.  It was hilarious.  Our turn was coming up so I walked back over and waited in line until it was our turn.  The Coug pair almost won.  We attempted our fate at beer pong.  It got pretty hairy there for a while but we managed to come back and beat them when it really counted.  We dethroned the kings!  Then we lost to some girls who clearly drink more than we did.  We left the arena in shame...haha no not really, we just needed to pee really bad!

We then made our way over to the stage area and listened to the headliner Manuela Horn, yodel to some of today's top 40 hits.  She sang 99 Red Balloons in German and yodeled the Na Na song.  We laughed uncontrollably.  That was worth the half hour we spend listening to the music.  Ben needed some more food so we bought some chicken strips and fries and I stole the big container of ketchup and brought it over to our table.  We talked about a bunch of stuff and then I had to pee again.  When I got back he had bought a pretzel and ate half of it.  It was getting late so we decided to head home around 11.  I drove us back to my house to give him some time go sober up.

We got to my house about midnight and I gave him some water and we hung out for a bit before I had to send him back home to get ready for his fire shift the next morning.  Hopefully we get to do the Leavenworth Oktober Fest next year.

Lewis County Discovery Trail Caching

After work I had a chiropractor appointment in Centralia and decided to go see Ben at the station afterwards.  I needed to find something to do for about an hour and a half while waiting for him to get off work.  I remembered that I needed to finish finding the caches along the Discovery Trail nestled  up against the Chehalis River.  Ben and I had been on this trail back in March while we did the Lamprey Challenge but didn't really have enough time to grab the rest of the caches.

I followed the road to the parking area which was right next to someone's home and the trail carved its way along their property line.  They had many signs along the edge of the trail saying do not trespass or will be shot on site.  They mean business.  I got out and changed into some different, more comfortable clothes.  As I finished putting my shoes on and grabbing my phone, GPS and a pen, some guy and his dog showed up.  Of course, there had to be one other person on the trail while I was here.  He seemed nice enough.  They kept to themselves the entire time.  Then there was the barn.  With the leaves turning and it really looked like autumn.

There were 8 caches and the Lamprey cache we had already gotten back in March.  I hoped I had enough time to get them before the sun went down.  It looked like I wasn't going to get them all.  The fog had started to roll in and I had to hurry.

I started with Think Outside the Box (GC52AWE).  It was about a half a mile to the south of the entrance.  I walked and if I was going to get at least 4 of them  I had to hustle.  I jogged most of the way there.  When I finally got there I found out it was off the trail about 20 feet around a very large tree.  I started looking and I had trouble because it was much darker inside the woods and I didn't have a flashlight installed on my new phone yet.  About a minute into searching I remembered the name and started looking for a cache that was tied to a branch or the tree itself.  I almost ran into it.  Haha.  I signed the log and took the travel bug out to move it along.

On the way back, I grabbed 12-13-14 End of Era (GC5HTAV), a cache by RL Painter, one of our Thurston County buddies. That one was about 5 feet off the trail hidden on the backside of a tree with a natural shelf.  I was 2 for 2!

I jogged the rest of the way to the next one, Pink Power Ranger Adds to the Discovery Trail (GC4Q973), which was near the trail entrance.  It was hidden underneath a rock next to the sign.  I picked up the rock and touched a slug! Ew.  I signed my name and but it back better than I found it.

I walked to the next cache, Cheshire Cat (GC5EKE7) and started looking for it.  When I didn't find it right away I looked at the logs and was disappointed.  The last few people didn't find it.  I looked on the ground and the next couple trees just to rule out it fell and that the coords were off.  I didn't find it.  Sad day.  I will have to come back when the cache owner replaces it or when I come out here again I will bring a replacement.  This is where I ran into the guy and his dog again.  They were on their return trip back to the car.  I started my way back towards the Escape.  I knew if I tried going for the next one it will be dark plus it started sprinkling and I didn't want to end up being soaked.

I got back to the Escape and decided to go back towards Centralia.  I had a Subway gift card that I could use because I wasn't getting paid until the next day.  I got myself a sub and Ben his sub.  I sat down and ate it because I still had to eat up some time before he got to the station.  When I was done I went and got some dessert to bring with me as an offering for the guys at the station.  He told me he was going to be at the Grand Mound station but that changed as I sat in the parking lot with his sub, cinnamon rolls and some ice cream sandwiches.  They let him stay at the Rochester station instead.  I hustled on over and he was waiting for me outside to let me in.

He ate the sub, we had dessert and we dinked around with the two other guys who were on shift for a little bit.  We shot rubber bands at various targets.

Then came the time we both dread...saying good night for the evening and having to leave and go home.  We really hate that part.  I got home around 10:30, took a shower, got ready for work the next day and fell asleep as my head hit the pillow.  It was an eventful day and it was nice to finally rest.

Picking Up Two in Centralia

After work as I emerged from the warehouse, I found out it was a beautiful day.  I wanted to embrace it.  I had a chiro appointment in Centralia I had to get to but had some time afterwards for a few caches in the sunshine.  I had about 35 minutes to get to my appointment on time.  Traffic wasn't horrible so I got there early and he got me back early.  He worked on my right shoulder blade and amazingly it felt better afterwards.  I paid and then decided which ones I wanted to go for.

I decided on Fahrenheit451 (GC5XRMT) at the Riverside Fire Authority or the Centralia Fire Station.  I parked about 200 feet away and walked right up to ground zero.  I knew where it was going to be before I even got there.  The location was pretty cool.  I like hides like these.

I put every thing back the way I found it and walked back to the Escape.  I looked for the next one and it was further down 507 on the way home.  HUNTER (GC51H7A) was literally right off the highway.  I had to find a side street to park off of to go grab this one.  The coords had me at an old chair and a light pole.  It had to be simpler than that.  I read the hint and I instantly knew where to look.  It was hidden inside a water meter box in front of the cacher's yard.  I hate looking for caches in people's yards.  I tried to hurry as fast as I could just in case they decided to come out and talk to me.  I didn't have time to talk.  I got it out, signed the log and put it back all in less than 2 minutes.

I walked back to the Escape and went home.  I really wanted to go get more but I was getting hungry.
