Christmas Eve, Megan's 30th birthday and Kindle Fire's

Today is Christmas Eve and Megan's 30th birthday.  The trend lately was getting up early with the people who are still on German time.  Ugh.  Erika and Malachi wanted to go into town for some shopping.  We all got ready and headed into town.  I was to meet Megan at the Red Robin for her birthday lunch.  Erika, Malachi and Mom joined us.  Most of us ordered the tavern burger because you could buy one get one free because the Seahawks scored a touchdown in the red zone last week.  We all chatted and enjoyed our food for the next half hour or so.

As we got ready to pay, the gal brought us our check.  Apparently most everything we ordered was free.  Our bill only consisted of Erika and Malachi's food, plus Megan's drink and Malachi's beer.  I felt like we robbed the place but we ordered the correct food, haha.  And my gift card remained intact for the next time.

We went to a few more places around town including Shopko, Fred Meyer, Goodwill, Walmart etc.  We got home around 5 that evening.  Mom and I started the rest of the cleaning for Christmas tomorrow.

Around 9, is when we decided to open our gifts with each other.  When we were done, mom disappeared then reappeared with, "since you guys didn't get any birthday gifts and hardly any Christmas gifts, I bought you guys all Kindle Fires."  All three of our mouths dropped.  What?  I have never gotten anything like that for any birthday or Christmas in the past.  She sure surprised us.  Thanks momma! We all took a family picture in front of the tree to finalize the evening.

For the rest of the night after I cleaned until about 1 a.m.

Merry Christmas Eve!
