Tornado! II

Today western Washington had their second tornado since last September, this time it was closer to home.  Roughly around noon/12:30 is when it hit the Dupont/Anderson Island area.  Technically, it was a water spout because it formed over the Nisqually Reach.  Some guys in the area got a sweet video of it forming.

Komo News 4 Coverage

The weird part was, after I was done with my break at work that afternoon, I was walking back up to the 3rd floor to finish my deep clean of room 366.  I briefly noticed this weird cloud out the window, towards Dupont, and stood there for about 5 minutes looking at it.  I said to myself, "that really looks like a tornado cloud."  I really couldn't be sure because of the trees that obstructed my view.  I shrug it off and continued up the stairs to finish my room.

It wasn't until later on, when I looked at my phone, that I found out in fact that it was a tornado.  I was stoked but also upset I didn't really get to see the main show in person.  I still hope one day I get to see one in real life from a safe distance of course.
